About

Dr. Mina Okwara-Shokoya-Eleshin is a successful and performance-driven lawyer with vast experience spanning almost 3 decades in the legal services industry in the United Kingdom and Nigeria. She obtained her law degree from Coventry University in 1995 and was admitted to practice law in the United Kingdom in 1997. After practicing for over a decade, she proceeded to the Liverpool John Moore’s University where she obtained her LLM in Legal Practice. Her interest in research led her to complete a doctoral thesis and be conferred with a doctorate degree by the Liverpool John Moore’s University in Human Rights.


Dr. Okwara-Shokoya-Eleshin was admitted to the Nigerian Bar in 2013 upon successful completion of the Nigerian Law School program and thereafter worked with Sho-El Chambers, a commercial law firm in Lagos, Nigeria where she acquired practical experience in the Nigerian legal services industry. She has had over a decade experience practicing as Crown Prosecutor in the courts of England and Wales. Hence, she is able to advise on a broad range of issues bordering on dispute resolution and criminal advocacy.


Dr. Okwara-Shokoya-Eleshin is skilled at providing legal advice on a broad range of issues ranging from commercial issues to criminal defense/prosecution, humanitarian law and advocacy. She brings a lot of experience to the NICCOM LLP team where she works as Legal Consultant on both local and cross-border matters/transactions. She is hands on, detailed and an avid researcher who seeks to bring ultimate value to every legal situation she encounters, no matter how little or complex.
